Kellemes étterem a belváros szívében. Friss ételek, a választék is ezt tükrözi. Legközelebb is megyünk.

Kiváló étterem a város közepén a Gozsdu mellett!

First off, I come to Budapest often for business, and while I have my regular haunts - I do try to diversify and try somethings new.
I have been coming for over 4 years, and this space has always been a bit of an eyesore, so I was happy to see last week that it was a Bistro Wine Bar. Tonight, because of something now permanently closed, walking around...decided to try it.
Beginning very friendly service and I liked the ambience. We talked about the wine, and while I did not want a Romanian, which was recommended, more full body - I settled for a 2015 Hungarian and water. I also order dinner, Schnitzel at the same time.
My drinks were brought and I settled in. I do like the ambience and the music, old American soul fit the bill. I waited, and I waited, and I waited some more - no food. The young girl passed me, and I said excuse me, she did not hear. I had my arms crossed, and I think my HANGRY face....ugh where is my food.
I asked the gentleman who seated me and took my order, he apologized profusely - he forgot to put my order in.....needless to say, I WAS NOT HAPPY. First off, I was hungry and second to forget. Yes, he was nice about it and tried to comp the entire evening, but I was hungry...I wanted food, not free. I was just not willing to wait, sorry.
I know this sounds like it should be a terrible or poor, but I liked the place - and it being new, I am giving it the benifit of the doubt, but jeepers - pay attention to your customers. For 40 minutes, I still had a half glass of wine, what does that say. I truly liked the wine and the ambience, and I think they are still going through opening pains, but please pay attention.
Sorry, to be so blunt - but I was very hangry :)

A nice place to sit down and enjoy the coffee on a warm day.
Located away from the traffic.
Very friendly staff and good coffee

The concept of the place, that it is based on hungarian history, is interesting. Here you can try and compare the wines and the foods of Austro-Hungarian monarchy's countries. Wines and foods were always perfect. Services were always friendly.
