The place has very good selection of local wines, some of which can not be bought in stores. The service is great, the atmosphere is relaxing, people are so nice and the food is great too. Loved it!!

A Házi/Állat nevű hegység, ahol Lőrincz György (nem a borász, hanem a Gault Millau kalauz által valamelyik évben, talán 2016ban az év séfjének választott konyhafőnök) főzött, nem sokáig húzta. Ma már Bárka néven működik itt egy borozó. Mint megtudtam, nem véletlenül hasonlítanak a cégtábla karakterei a Kadarkáéra: azonos a tulaj. Rengeteg izgalmas bort kínálnak itt is, jó lenne beülni ide egyszer hosszabb időre is. Egy Sárkánytangó Olaszrizlinget kértem, jó volt. Másfél decit adnak közel 1000 ftért.

Nem előszőr voltam itt sem én sem a baráti társaságom, újra és újra magával ragad a hely a hangulat. Tökéletes kiszolgálas, igazi profi csapat, minden szempillantásodat figyelik, pillanatok alatt letudod adni a rendelésed. A kiszolgálás, gyors, precíz és kedves. Az ételek meglepően visszafogott áron felülemelkedően jó minőségűek, soha nem tudunk elmenni a császármorzsájuk nélkül. Egy igazi flow élmény az ottartózkodás. Köszönöm/köszönjük mégegyszer a hétvégi csodálatos estét, hálások vagyunk érte.

Mostanában többször itt ebédeltünk, mert kicsit változtattak az ebéd menün, így egy heti fix étlapról lehet választani, többféle levesből, főételből. Persze az étlapról is ugyan úgy :) Nagyon finom volt eddig minden, csak ajánlani tudom! Aki a környéken dolgozik, lakik, mindenképp érdemes benézni ;)

A Bárka a kedvenc helyünk lett! A kiszolgálás barátságos, kiválóak a borok, az ételek nagyon finomak. Leginkább a marhaburgert ajánljuk mindenkinek :)

We were there friday night, and it was so busy place. The staff was very friendly, actually they were not enough for that crowded place. Two waitresses could not served the guests in that quality you can expected. We had to wait many times to order a new glass of wine, or to pay the bill. The meals were avarege and not worths your money.

We spent our last evening at Barka bistro and really enjoyed ourselves. The waiter, Jacinto was lovely from start to finish! He took the time to fully present the menu and the dishes offered in the establishment. Always a kind, benevolent word to ensure our complete satisfaction. We ended our stay with an excellent dinner, with fine dishes, refined and filled with many flavors! We were delighted to be able to exchange with Jacinto who is very sociable, pleasant and very interesting! Had a fabulous meal here with friends during our visit to Budapest. Food outstanding, service great and staff lovely. Reasonably priced but worth every 'Forint'. Nice touch of icing the flutes before pouring the prosecco so the temperature was perfect. Recommend and would visit again.

Stumbled across this place, since New York cafe had a long line of people waiting to get in. Early in the afternoon, not many people, so quite and nice. Good service, and a wonderful goulash soup. Can highly recommend this place!

We wanted to have lunch at the New York Café but it was jammed with people. So we leisurely started walking back to our hotel. One of our party saw the sign and we decided to try it out. The prices were great. I had the Hungarian Goulash and a Caprese Salad. The portions were large and so delicious. Everything was so fresh and beautifully presented. It was

The Barka is a gem of a find, The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. A relaxed atmosphere. We arrived at 2200hrs and the staff still served us food. The paprika chicken and the escalopes were excellent, the flavours were amazing. Highly recommended

We just arrived in Budapest and we were very hungry and all the restaurants we found didn’t have what we wanted. We stumbled upon Barka and we were highly impressed about the vintage look of the place. It reminded me of a very good restaurant i went to during the 90’s. We had the goulash and cream soup and as a main dish we chose some very tasty food, my wife - Chicken filled with Camembert and rice and I had the pork medallions with baked potatoes snd ratatouille). We had very little time to wait for our food. A very clean and cozy establishment, i recommend it.

First I was a bit suspicious.... how can that place be so empty on a Friday night. But the friendly staff and the quality of food and drinks convinced me quickly. The duck breast was super tender and to the point. The plum sauce had the right level of sweetness and the orange added an delicious twist. I can highly recommend this place and I hope it filled up later with people

Convenient location near Blaha Lujza Ter, opposite the Boscolo hotel, at the end of Kertezs Utca on the junction with Dohany - this is a slimmed down offering from the team behind Kiraly Utca’s Kadarka wine bar. Selection is much smaller (I guess around 30 or so by the glass), but it’s still a great bar. Specious, and (currently) not as busy at those bars on the Kiraly wine scene. Good location for pre ‘going out’, or for a day time glass of wine. It’s location, just a couple of doors down from Veritas wine bar, makes me imagine that Dohany may well see a few more wine bars pop up. Music was very chilled, and service was friendly - however, a screen showing sports behind the bar didn’t quite fit the wine-bar atmosphere they’re clearly trying to create. It’s location brings about reasonable pricing. WiFi is free and fast - good place to use your Laptop and have a glass or two!
